Managing carbon and water in lowland landscapes

The Broads Authority has opened registration for a one-day conference at the UEA, Norwich. "Managing carbon and water in lowland landscapes: integrated approaches to floodplain and peatland resilience." The first two sessions will cover water system planning and solutions. The first session, titled 'Setting the context for whole system planning,' will also include discussions on 'Water availability in the Broads' and 'The lowland peat opportunity and challenges.' The second session considers solutions with a series of case studies on the economics of lowland restoration.
The third session focuses on Smart Water - Modelling and Monitoring, featuring presentations on an innovative watertable model and smart water planning from Cranfield University and Norfolk Environment Food and Farming.
