Engagement interests
FENBOT is a small East of England technology business developing low-cost water-table monitoring and automated grant-compliance reporting for lowland peat projects. We'd like to join a consortium as a technical partner (not project lead), providing dip-well water-table sensors with LoRaWAN telemetry, live dashboards and alerting against target water-table bands, and quarterly evidence packs — water-table depth time series, time-in-band, data completeness, calibration logs and a tamper-evident data trail — designed to support grant monitoring and claims. We can supply and install equipment or integrate existing sensors (the platform is hardware-agnostic), and are offering one pilot deployment at cost in exchange for a case study. Happy to contribute monitoring workstream costings to proposals.
Additional information
Technical detail: sensor nodes under £300 per station against £800–£2,000 for incumbent loggers; the platform also ingests standard LoRaWAN level sensors (e.g. Dragino PS-LB) alongside our own hardware. Backend: time-series database with a cryptographically hash-chained audit log, so monitoring data supporting claims cannot be silently altered. Reporting: one-click PDF/CSV evidence packs including indicative CO2e estimates derived from mean water-table depth, clearly labelled as indicative. Status: bench prototype in build (July 2026), field soak testing through summer, seeking one pilot site for winter 2026/27. Founder background: software delivery and platform engineering (AWS, Kubernetes, IoT). Early-stage and open about it — the pilot partner gets equipment at cost and free platform use.
