Hi - I am the project manager for the Paludiculture Exploration Fund. Over two and a half years we want to explore just what farmers, growers, manufacturers, and suppliers need to make harvesting crops from wet peat a reality.  Giving farmers a viable economic choice between dry peat and wet peat cropping.  This is all about the carbon and the significant gains we can get in reducing carbon emissions from wetted peat.  This is a long-term goal, and I am looking forward to the Lowland Agricultural Peatland Task Force report.  In the meantime, I hope we can start exploring viable alternatives for farmers on lowland peats.
